Adding and Defining Callout Parameters
Click the Edit Callout Parameters tool to define parameters that can be used in the callout:
Typically, business entity properties can be used as callout parameters. For example, a callout can be defined to show details of a service provider's policy. A parameter can be defined pointing to the policy content to be shown in the callout so that each time this callout is displayed, it shows the relevant policy.
There are two approaches to binding data to callout content:
Directly assigning a business entity property as a parameter.
Assigning a business entity property or any other value to this parameter when the callout is invoked.
To define the callout parameters:
1. | Click the Add Parameter ![]() |
2. | In the new row, click in the Type column to display the Assignment Tool. |
This parameter can now be referenced by the HTML element(s) in the callout in order to affect the content of the callout, as described in Designing the Callout Frame, Body, and Location.
